Sectorul de turism, pilon principal al economiei Spaniei, a fost puternic afectat în mai de pandemia de COVID-19, potrivit Euractiv. Ţara a pierdut în total 8 milioane de turişti şi peste 8,1 miliarde de euro în mai. În aprilie şi mai, Spania a pierdut peste 15 milioane de turişti, impactul total din cele două luni fiind estimat la aproximativ 15 miliarde de euro.
